Uploading Your Contacts to RISE Using a CSV

  • Updated

There are now three ways to get your contacts into RISE.  You can manually enter a contact, connect your associated GSuite, Gmail or Outlook 365 account, or upload your contacts to RISE using a CSV file.  Here's how you would upload using a CSV.

Most email programs and CRMs have an ability to export your contacts to a CSV file, which is a spreadsheet with just data, no formatting.  Please ensure your CSV has header rows so you can match the fields with the RISE CSV import template attached to this article.

Once your CSV is ready to upload, select Contacts in your navigation bar.

Select the Add Contacts button and then Import Contacts.

RISE has provided you with an upload template attached to this article.  Please download that template and fill in the fields you would like to upload.

Once you have filled in your RISE import template, select the Browse Device button.

When your file is uploaded, select the Next button.

RISE will look to match fields with the header rows you have in your RISE CSV import template.  If RISE indicates it cannot automatically match the field, use the drop-down arrow to choose the field it matches to.

You also have the opportunity to import any field as a tag for the client record or ignore the field and not import it.  When your choices are made, select the Next button.

On the next screen, you can choose whether to subscribe all to subscription events, trigger subscription events for these contacts, or add a tag or tags to each contact in your upload.

To learn more about subscription events, please select this link.

When you have made your choices, select the Start Import button.
