One of the greatest threats to your email communication with your clients is that a client will unsubscribe from your emails due to you overcommunicating with them or the email provider marks it as spam. RISE employs a feature called SmartSend to help prevent this from happening. Here's how it works.
SmartSend uses contact engagement data to temporarily suspend emails from being sent to contacts that aren't opening or reading your emails. If a contact has not opened your emails for a while, SmartSend will temporarily halt any further emails to the contact, even if they are listed as a recipient for the email.
After that temporary period ends, your emails will resume to the contact. SmartSend then looks for the contact behavior with your emails.
- If the contact opens the email, they will no longer be marked as disengaged and will continue to receive future emails as scheduled.
- If the contact does not open the email, SmartSend will temporarily halt the emails again.
This helps prevent a contact from unsubscribing because of too much communication or your email automatically being sent to spam or junk folders.
SmartSend is automatically enabled for your campaign emails.
